Sunderbani, Aug 30: Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary on Friday visited Sunderbani to assess the situation following the recent flash floods that have caused widespread damage in the region.
During his visit, Chaudhary met the affected families, listened to their grievances, and assured them of full support from the administration. He said that all necessary steps would be taken to provide immediate relief as well as long-term rehabilitation for those impacted.
The Deputy Chief Minister also convened a meeting with district and local officers, directing them to expedite relief operations and ensure proper rehabilitation of affected families. He stressed the need for comprehensive preventive measures to mitigate the risk of such natural calamities in the future.
Chaudhary reiterated the government’s commitment to stand by the people in this hour of crisis and assured that every possible effort would be made to restore normalcy in the flood-hit areas.
