Srinagar, July 22, 2025 – In a significant move to support families affected by terrorism, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today launched a dedicated web portal designed to streamline assistance and welfare measures for victims’ families across Jammu and Kashmir.

The centralized digital platform, developed jointly by the Home Department and the National Informatics Centre (NIC), aims to ensure efficient, transparent, and timely delivery of various forms of government support. These include financial relief, ex-gratia compensation, compassionate employment, and other welfare schemes.

“This portal is a step towards creating a responsive and accountable system that recognizes the pain of those who have suffered due to terrorism,” said LG Sinha during the launch ceremony. “It will not only fast-track relief measures but also bring in greater transparency.”

Key features of the portal include district-wise data mapping of affected families, a tracking mechanism for encroachments on victims’ properties, and safeguards against duplicate or fraudulent claims.
