13-Year-Old Drowns in Jhelum River in Bandipora

SRINAGAR, July 4: A 13-year-old boy drowned while bathing in the Jhelum River in Hajin, north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, on Friday.The victim, Shahid Ahmad, son of Tariq Wani from Baharabad Hajin, slipped into deep water, officials said.Rescue teams launched a search operation, which was still underway at the time of reporting.
