Reasi/Katra, June 5:
Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conducted a detailed review of arrangements in Reasi and Katra in anticipation of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s inauguration of the historic Katra-Srinagar rail link.
Describing the project as transformational, Abdullah said the rail link heralds a new era of connectivity and development for the region. The landmark initiative is expected to significantly boost economic activity, improve mobility, and enhance integration of the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country.
Officials briefed the CM on the infrastructural readiness and security measures being put in place ahead of the high-profile launch. The project is seen as a major milestone in the region’s development journey.
