Srinagar, June 3, 2025 — In a strategic move to address pressing environmental and developmental concerns, Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Javed Rana, on Tuesday convened a high-level meeting focusing on the convergence of Forest and Jal Shakti departments. The meeting brought together senior officials and experts to deliberate on collaborative efforts in environmental conservation, tribal welfare, and water resource management.

The minister emphasized the urgent need for integrated planning and execution to combat ecological degradation and water scarcity. “Sustainable development must rest on the pillars of environmental preservation and inclusive growth, especially for our tribal communities who are closely linked with forest ecosystems,” said Rana.
