May 19: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a man accused of spying for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), in a significant crackdown on cross-border espionage. The suspect, identified as Shehzad, was taken into custody following a detailed surveillance operation by the ATS.
According to official sources, Shehzad had made multiple visits to Pakistan in recent years and allegedly used smuggling as a front to mask his espionage activities. Investigators claim that he was actively involved in collecting and passing sensitive information related to India’s national security to ISI handlers.
