Bengaluru, May 8: Karnataka Waqf and Minority Affairs Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan on Thursday announced that special Friday prayers will be offered at mosques across the state for the well-being of Indian soldiers involved in Operation Sindoor—a mission launched to avenge the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
In an official statement, the minister said that both mosques governed by the Waqf Board and others outside its purview will participate in the prayers, seeking strength and protection for the nation’s armed forces.
Khan has written to the Chief Executive Officer of the Waqf Board, urging coordination to ensure the prayers are conducted statewide.
