Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: On the direction of the Party President, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has joined the collective call for a bandh (general strike) in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in significant loss of life and injuries.
The party expressed its deep condemnation of the brutal attack, calling it a senseless act of violence that has shaken the entire region. In its statement, the JKNC appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to fully support the hartal organized by religious and social leaders to protest the attack and stand in solidarity with the victims.
“We urge the people of J&K to ensure the success of the hartal called by religious and social groups, as a mark of respect for the victims and to send a clear message against the forces of terror,” the statement stated.
The bandh has gained traction across the region, with residents and organizations uniting in protest against the violence. JKNC’s involvement highlights the ongoing concerns over the deteriorating security situation in the region, reaffirming the party’s firm stance against terrorism.
