SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has launched an investigation into allegations involving several officials of the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA). As per a formal government order, Mir Nasrool Hilal Jeri, a Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) officer, has been designated as the Inquiry Officer to look into the matter.
The order, issued under Rule 33(4) of the Jammu and Kashmir Classification, Control, and Appeal Rules, 1956, entrusts Mr. Jeri with conducting the inquiry. He has been directed to complete the investigation and submit a detailed report within one week from the date the order was signed.
The government order, signed by Commissioner Secretary Mandeep Kaur, does not disclose specific details regarding the nature of the allegations or the officials involved. However, the appointment of an inquiry officer signals the government’s intent to address the matter swiftly and ensure transparency.
The outcome of the inquiry could shed light on the seriousness of the charges, depending on the findings presented by Mr. Jeri.
