Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, urging citizens to renew their collective resolve to build a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said, “Best wishes on Republic Day. May this occasion add renewed energy and enthusiasm in our collective resolve to build a Viksit Bharat.”
The Prime Minister’s message comes ahead of the grand Republic Day celebrations to be held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu will preside over the ceremonial parade, which showcases India’s cultural diversity, military strength, and democratic values.
This year’s celebrations was attended by high-profile international dignitaries, with President of the European Council Antonio Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen participating as the Chief Guests, underscoring India’s growing global engagement.
