New Delhi, Jan 20, 2026:
India and Namibia held the 5th round of Foreign Office Consultations (FoC) in New Delhi from January 19 to 20, reviewing the full spectrum of bilateral relations and reaffirming their commitment to deepen cooperation under the framework of South–South Cooperation.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the consultations provided an opportunity for a comprehensive and productive assessment of ties across diverse sectors, including development partnership, capacity building, and people-to-people exchanges. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the steady progress in bilateral engagement and underscored the importance of sustaining regular institutional dialogue.
Discussions also focused on identifying new avenues for collaboration, particularly in areas aligned with mutual development priorities. The two delegations reiterated their shared vision of strengthening cooperation based on mutual respect, solidarity, and shared developmental experiences.
India and Namibia enjoy warm and friendly relations, anchored in historical ties and common perspectives on global and regional issues. The latest round of consultations reflects the continued momentum in bilateral relations and the resolve of both countries to further expand cooperation in the coming years.
The MEA noted that both sides agreed to work closely to translate discussions into tangible outcomes, reinforcing the partnership in the spirit of South–South Cooperation.
