Nagrota, Nov 14: Devyani Rana of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a decisive victory in the Nagrota Assembly constituency, as per the latest figures released by the Election Commission of India.
Rana emerged as the clear winner with 42,183 votes, outpacing her nearest competitor, Harsh Dev Singh of the Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party, who managed 17,661 votes.
Shamim Begum of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference followed with 10,834 votes, while independent candidate Anil Sharma garnered 837 votes.
Rana’s win marks a notable gain for the BJP in Nagrota, with a commanding lead of 24,522 votes over Singh. The Election Commission confirmed the final result after the completion of all 11 rounds of counting.
