Srinagar, Oct 5: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday described the human mind as the “greatest miracle of life,” asserting that the future of Jammu and Kashmir’s development is intrinsically linked to the empowerment, creativity, and innovation of its youth.
Addressing a gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said, “Jammu and Kashmir ka vikas seedha yuva shakti ke saath juda hua hai. We have to build an environment that transforms our youth into innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders of tomorrow.”
Emphasizing the importance of developing analytical skills at an early age, LG Sinha noted that a child who learns basic calculations such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication early in life tends to develop sharper decision-making abilities. “These basic skills help young minds think analytically and make quick, effective decisions,” he said.
Citing an example from the tech world, the Lieutenant Governor referred to Google’s global initiative to count books across libraries. “Google found that there are nearly 13 crore unique books in the world. The knowledge contained in these books can fit into the brain of a human being,” he said, underscoring the limitless potential of the human intellect.
“If a person learns to fully utilize their mind, the knowledge of the entire world can reside within them. Harnessing this mental potential can pave the way for innovation, wisdom, and progress,” Sinha remarked.
Urging the youth to think beyond boundaries, he called upon them to use their intellect for nation-building. “Empowering young minds with curiosity, knowledge, and discipline will shape Jammu and Kashmir’s journey toward a prosperous and progressive future,” the LG added.
