LG Manoj Sinha calls for ‘whole of government’ approach in real estate sector

Srinagar, Sept 25: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday addressed the AIFORERA Governing Council meeting, stressing the need for a coordinated government effort to advance the real estate sector and ensure timely delivery of projects.Sinha highlighted the challenges as well as opportunities in the sector and underlined the importance of accountability in project execution. He said the transparency, efficiency, and accountability ushered in by the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 must be leveraged to safeguard the interests of homebuyers.Calling for a swift grievance redressal mechanism, the LG said a more regulated and responsive system would help transform the real estate sector into a stronger and more efficient industry.
