Srinagar, Sept 24: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Tuesday handed over sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs under the Mission YUVA programme, aimed at facilitating the establishment of income-generating units.
According to officials, more than 3,000 applications have so far been approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) in Srinagar. Out of these, around 800 cases have already been sanctioned by banks, paving the way for beneficiaries to set up sustainable business ventures.
The initiative, authorities said, is part of the government’s larger push to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among youth by providing financial assistance and guidance.
DC Srinagar emphasized that Mission YUVA is creating new avenues of livelihood and helping local youth to transition from job-seeking to job-creating roles. He also reiterated the administration’s commitment to extending full support to budding entrepreneurs.
