Jammu/New Delhi, May 10: Eight Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured on Saturday in intense shelling by Pakistani forces along the International Border (IB) in the R S Pura sector of Jammu, officials said.

The shelling, which targeted forward posts and civilian areas, prompted an immediate response from Indian forces. The injured personnel were swiftly evacuated and shifted to a nearby military medical facility for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.

Senior BSF and Army officials are monitoring the situation closely, and security has been heightened along the border. Further details are awaited as investigations continue.
