June 22, 2025 — Russia has sharply criticized the United States over its recent airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling the actions “irresponsible” and a “blatant violation of international law,” according to remarks by the Russian Foreign Minister carried by TASS news agency.

Turkey voiced similar concerns, warning that the US assault could escalate the Iranian crisis into a global catastrophe. Turkish Foreign Minister cautioned that the strikes have dangerously heightened the risk of widespread conflict and regional instability.

Pope Leo also weighed in, appealing for peace amid the growing tensions. “Humanity is crying out for peace,” the Pontiff said in a statement following the strikes.

In response to the situation, the Israeli military said it is assessing the impact of the US bombing on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. An Israeli spokesperson further stated that Israel has “other objectives” in Iran and will press on with its military operations targeting Tehran.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates’ nuclear regulatory authority confirmed that there has been no detectable impact on its territory from the US strikes, according to the country’s state news agency.
