April 25, 2025-In a solemn moment of tribute, President Droupadi Murmu of India visited the Basilica of Saint Peter in Vatican City on Friday to pay homage to the late Pope Francis. Accompanied by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State George Kurian, and Deputy Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Joshua D’Souza, President Murmu marked the occasion as part of her two-day visit to attend Pope Francis’s state funeral and extend condolences on behalf of the Government and people of India.
