Shimla, Sep 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reviewed the flood and landslide situation in Himachal Pradesh, reaching Kangra after conducting an aerial survey of the disaster-hit Mandi and Kullu districts.

At Gaggal airport, the prime minister was received by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, state BJP president Rajiv Bindal and several BJP legislators.

According to the tentative schedule, the chief minister and senior officials will brief the prime minister on the extent of damage caused by the monsoon disaster. BJP leaders are also expected to apprise him of the prevailing situation in the state.
