Pahalgam, Kashmir – In the wake of a terror attack in Pahalgam, Pulwama MLA and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Waheed Para strongly condemned the act, calling it an attempt to defame the people of Kashmir. Speaking to the press, Para emphasized that such attacks are typically carried out when the region is showing signs of stability and improvement.
“This act of terror is a clear attempt to defame Kashmiris,” Para said, adding that the timing of such attacks is no coincidence. “Such activities are carried out whenever the situation in Kashmir seems to improve, and the peace process takes a positive turn.”
Para, known for his political activism and leadership in the region, stated that the people of Kashmir, regardless of their beliefs or ideologies, must stand united in opposition to terrorism. “We condemn this act unequivocally and stand unanimously against such violence, irrespective of our different beliefs and political ideologies.”
The attack, which took place in the serene town of Pahalgam, has shocked the local population, leaving many to question the underlying motives behind such violence. It comes at a time when Kashmir has been witnessing improved conditions after years of unrest and turmoil.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack, with local security forces on high alert in the region. Meanwhile, political leaders from various parties have expressed their condolences to the victims and called for stronger measures to ensure the safety and security of the residents.
This latest act of violence is a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges in the Kashmir Valley, as both local communities and security forces continue to grapple with the persistent threat of militancy.
