SRINAGAR: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that killed at least 26 people, mostly tourists.
Earlier, Gandhi visited the Army Hospital in Jammu to meet those injured in the attack. His meetings with Abdullah and Sinha focused on the security situation and response to Tuesday’s incident in south Kashmir.
Gandhi was accompanied by Congress leaders KC Venugopal, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Tariq Hameed Karra, and Syed Naseer Hussain. He also met delegations of trade representatives, student leaders, and tourism stakeholders.
