SRIHARIKOTA, May 18: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Saturday successfully launched the PSLV-C61 rocket, carrying the Earth Observation Satellite-09 (EOS-09), from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
EOS-09 is a repeat satellite of EOS-04 and is designed to provide remote sensing data to support various operational applications. The satellite was placed into a sun-synchronous polar orbit (SSPO), where it will enhance the frequency and consistency of Earth observation.
