Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India and China will resume direct flights after more than five years, following talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He said an agreement on border management has been reached, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has restarted, and air connectivity will soon follow.
“The interests of 2.8 billion people are tied to our cooperation, which must be built on mutual trust, respect, and sensitivity,” Modi stated.
