Deputy Inspector General (DIG) North Kashmir Range on Friday chaired a crime review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Kupwara to assess the overall law-and-order situation and improve the quality of investigations.

The DIG reviewed crime disposal rates, progress in UAPA and NDPS cases, recoveries, and property attachment proceedings. He also stressed close monitoring of Zero FIRs, timely FSL visits, SID linking on e-Sakshya, proper use of MedLeaPR, prompt filing of e-Court challans, and swift execution of e-Summons.

Action taken under PIT-NDPS, regulation of pharmacies, and surveillance of NDPS-prone hotspots were also examined. Emphasizing evidence-based investigations and stronger supervisory oversight, the DIG called for speedy grievance redressal and commended Kupwara Police for their ongoing efforts.
