Ganderbal, June 21 — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday expressed confidence in ensuring a smooth and secure experience for pilgrims participating in the annual Yatra. During his visit to Ganderbal, the CM emphasized the shared responsibilities between the administration and his government.
“I am sure the Yatris will have a good experience. Security is the responsibility of the Lieutenant Governor, while medical facilities and infrastructure are being taken care of by us. I hope all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of the Yatris,” Omar Abdullah said while addressing the media.
Highlighting his longstanding connection with the Ganderbal constituency, the Chief Minister remarked, “The people of Ganderbal have honoured me by electing me as their MLA. That is why I didn’t change my seat.”
The visit comes amid ongoing preparations for the upcoming Yatra season, with authorities working to coordinate logistics, health services, and safety arrangements across the region.
