SRINAGAR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jammu on Sunday night to review the destruction caused by heavy rains, cloudbursts, and flash floods across Jammu and Kashmir.Shah, received at the airport by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, CM Omar Abdullah, and senior officials, stayed overnight at Raj Bhawan before chairing a high-level meeting. The review covered damage to infrastructure, civilian property, and border fencing.He announced Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs) for J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. Headed by Joint Secretary-level officers, the teams will include representatives from key ministries such as Expenditure, Agriculture, Jal Shakti, Power, Roads, and Rural Development to assess losses from floods and landslides.
