Ganderbal, June 5:
In a continued crackdown on drug peddling, Ganderbal Police on Thursday arrested a suspected drug peddler and seized a quantity of contraband substance from his possession.
According to officials, the arrest was made during a routine naka (checkpoint) operation conducted by a police team in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal. Upon interception and search, a suspicious individual was found carrying a contraband substance, the nature and quantity of which are yet to be officially disclosed.
A case under FIR No. 88/2025 has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
