Two Terrorist Associates Held with Arms, Ammunition in Shopian

May 19: Security forces apprehended two terrorist associates in the DK Pora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district during a joint operation.

According to officials, the arrests were made at a checkpoint jointly set up by the Army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Shopian Police, and the 178 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

During the operation, security personnel recovered two pistols, four hand grenades, and other incriminating materials from the suspects.

Police have registered a case in connection with the incident, and further investigation is currently underway.
