SRINAGAR: The Jammu Division of Indian Railways conducted an extensive ticket checking drive, penalising 673 passengers in a single day and collecting fines amounting to ₹5 lakh — the highest single-day recovery ever recorded by the division.

The large-scale inspection was led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr DCM) Uchit Singhal and covered major stations such as Jammu, Pathankot Cantt, Pathankot City, Katra, Srinagar, and Budgam.

The campaign was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM), Jammu, Manoj Meena, with multiple teams deployed to inspect trains and platforms across the division.
