Srinagar, Nov 3: National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Sunday emphasized the need for collective progress and unity between Jammu and Kashmir, urging the Prime Minister to address the region’s challenges and support its people.

“Jammu and Kashmir are one, and both will progress together,” Dr. Abdullah said in a statement, appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to focus on the pressing issues affecting the Union Territory.

He welcomed the recent Darbar Move initiative, describing it as a sign of progress and a step towards balanced development across the regions.

“The Darbar Move is a good step—it shows progress. Let’s rise above politics and rebuild after years of destruction,” the NC President remarked, calling for a collaborative approach to peace and reconstruction.

Dr. Abdullah’s appeal comes amid ongoing discussions about regional development, governance, and efforts to restore normalcy and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
