SRINAGAR: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce by-elections for the Budgam and Nagrota assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir, in tandem with the Bihar Assembly poll schedule.
Both constituencies are currently vacant. The ECI said it has deployed 470 officers, including 320 IAS, 60 IPS, and 90 from other central services, as observers for the Bihar elections and bye-polls in J&K, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram, and Odisha.
