SRINAGAR, May 16:
In response to recent disruptions in flight schedules, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister has taken up the matter with the Government of India to facilitate additional Haj flights from Srinagar. The disruption has led to a backlog of 1,895 pilgrims awaiting their journey to the holy city of Mecca.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the CM stated, “I have taken up with the Government of India the urgent need to arrange additional Haj flights from Srinagar to clear the backlog of 1,895 pilgrims caused by recent flight disruptions. Ensuring a smooth and timely pilgrimage for our pilgrims is the Government’s priority.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state administration is closely monitoring the situation and working in coordination with the central authorities to ensure that all affected pilgrims are accommodated at the earliest.
