SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced power outages in several regions of Kashmir on April 21 and 23, 2025, as part of essential maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.

On April 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM, residents of Ratnipora, Lajoora, Puchal, Naroo, and nearby areas will experience power disruptions due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Awantipora-Naroo line. This interruption is required for repair and maintenance work at the Gantry located within the Air Force Camp, which will be conducted by the AE E/M Awantipora Airport. During this period, the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Naroo and LIS Koil-II & III will also remain off.

In parallel, power outages will occur in the Air Force station and LIS Koil-1st areas due to the closure of the 33KV Awantipora-Airport line. Power supply to these locations will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM on the same day.

Furthermore, on April 21, 2025, the 33KV Amargarh SIDCO line will be shut down from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM to facilitate the replacement and repair of the 1500 mm rising main pipe at Ladoora-Rohama. This will cause power interruptions in Rohama, Chakloo, and surrounding areas, as the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Rohama and Chakloo will be offline during this period.

On April 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM, power supply to areas like Peerbagh, Humhama, Wanbal, Rangreth, and nearby localities will be affected due to the shutdown of the 33KV Airforce, Silk Factory, and Rangreth lines. This outage is necessary for cable interchange work between the 33KV Airforce and 33KV Silk Factory lines at the Rawalpora Grid’s 33KV Gantry. As a result, the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Peerbagh, Humhama, Wanbal, and Rangreth will remain out of service during the scheduled time.
