Bandipora, North Kashmir – A late-night fire in the SK Payeen area of Bandipora district resulted in significant damage to at least three homes. The blaze quickly spread to nearby structures, and the intense heat from the fire triggered an explosion in a gas cylinder, intensifying the flames and making it more difficult for firefighters to control the situation.
Officials reported that the fire started in one house and rapidly extended to neighboring buildings. The explosion of the gas cylinder further fueled the fire, complicating the firefighting efforts.
Firefighters from the Ajas Fire and Emergency Services arrived at the scene promptly and worked throughout the night to bring the fire under control. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or fatalities, and authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Local authorities have urged residents to exercise caution when using gas cylinders, particularly during the colder months when heating and cooking demands increase.
