Srinagar, July 20: The Meteorological Department has forecast a fresh spell of monsoon rains across Jammu and Kashmir starting Monday, July 21.

Rainfall is expected to vary in intensity and timing over the next four days. On July 21, the Jammu plains are likely to receive early morning showers, while parts of the Kashmir Valley may see rain later in the day.

Widespread rain is forecast for July 22, with Jammu likely to receive showers in the morning and the Valley witnessing rainfall by afternoon or evening. Some isolated areas, however, may remain dry.

Monsoon showers may persist on July 23, but a gradual decline in rainfall is expected from July 24, with limited areas receiving rain and overall weather improving.

From July 25 onwards, predominantly dry weather is expected across the region, with only brief, isolated showers possible. No major rainfall is anticipated after that.
