Tehran, May 02 — Iran, the US, and Oman have decided to delay the fourth round of nuclear negotiations, citing logistical and technical issues, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi announced Friday.

Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to a diplomatic solution, emphasizing the country’s resolve to secure a “just and balanced deal” that would ensure the peaceful nature of its nuclear program and the lifting of international sanctions.

Talks between US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and Araghchi, hosted by Oman’s Foreign Minister Said Badr in Muscat in April, were described as “positive and constructive.” The US expressed gratitude to Oman for facilitating the dialogue.

According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the discussions marked the first formal engagement in years and followed a letter from former US President Donald Trump to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, proposing renewed negotiations.

Iran has indicated a willingness to pursue diplomacy, contingent on American goodwill and seriousness in addressing sanctions and nuclear concerns.
