SRINAGAR, April 16: Jammu and Kashmir is set to experience a combination of wet and dry weather over the coming days, with intermittent thundershowers and calm spells forecast throughout the region.

Thundershowers are likely to develop across many areas this afternoon, accompanied by gusty winds and the possibility of heavy rainfall. In light of the expected conditions, farmers are advised to postpone any orchard spraying scheduled for today.

Improved weather is expected on April 17, with dry conditions prevailing across the Union Territory. This brief window of stable weather will be favorable for outdoor agricultural work, including orchard management activities.

However, the wet weather is forecast to return between April 18 and 20, with multiple rounds of thundershowers likely in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Strong winds and heavy downpours may accompany these storms, prompting renewed caution for farmers—especially regarding orchard spraying, which should be avoided during this stretch.
