SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is set to experience another spell of wet weather beginning Thursday, with widespread rainfall anticipated across both regions.
The Meteorological Department has predicted mainly dry weather for the next 24 hours. However, light rain or thundershowers may occur in isolated areas over the subsequent two days.
On Tuesday, dry conditions are expected to prevail in most parts of the Union Territory. By Wednesday, some isolated locations may receive light to scattered showers or thunderstorms.
The intensity of the rain is likely to increase on April 18 and 19. Widespread rainfall is forecast in the Kashmir Valley, while the Jammu region is expected to see fairly widespread precipitation.
Meanwhile, nighttime temperatures stayed above normal across much of the region between Monday and Tuesday. Pahalgam recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the Kashmir Valley at 5.0°C, while Banihal was the coldest in Jammu division at 11.3°C.
