Srinagar, May 19: Continuing its intensified drive against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Srinagar Police has attached a residential property worth approximately ₹1.50 crore belonging to an alleged drug peddler in the Parimpora area of the city.

According to police officials, the attached property comprises a residential house along with adjoining land measuring seven marlas. The property allegedly belongs to Owais Amin Denthoo, son of Mohammad Amin Denthoo, a resident of Parimpora.

The action was taken under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in connection with FIR No. 32/2026 registered at Police Station Parimpora under Sections 8/22 and 29 of the NDPS Act.

Police said that during the course of investigation, it was established that the property had been acquired through proceeds generated from illicit drug trafficking activities. Following the investigation, the property was formally attached as part of the ongoing campaign to dismantle the narcotics network operating in the region.

Officials stated that the move reflects the sustained efforts of Srinagar Police to curb the growing menace of drug abuse and take stringent action against those involved in narcotics-related crimes.

Reiterating its commitment towards building a drug-free society, Srinagar Police urged members of the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by sharing information related to drug peddling and narcotics trafficking in their respective areas.
