Anantnag:In a significant action against drug trafficking, Anantnag Police arrested an alleged drug peddler, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar alias Christian, a resident of Nanil, during checking at Dialgam naka. Police recovered a heroin-like substance from his possession.
According to officials, the accused attempted to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully by the naka party. A case under FIR No. 149/2026 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
